In einem Interview auf mcvuk.com mit Randy Pitchford (Studio-Boss von Gearbox) bestätigte dieser, dass Aliens: Colonial Marines immer noch in Arbeit ist.  Es war ja lange sehr ruhig geworden um Aliens: Colonial Marines, dass Gearbox für SEGA entwickelt. Zuletzt hatte der Publisher im August verlauten lassen, dass man das Spiel ca. 9 - 12 Monate nach der Veröffentlichung von Aliens versus Predator auf den Markt bringen wollte.

"... “We have an Aliens game with Sega and 20th Century Fox which we're really excited about,” he told MCV. “It’s the thing I've been stealing from all my career. Now I'm really working on it, but we've been quiet about that so far.”
“Borderlands took over Gearbox,” he added. “We had so much fun working on that and when we finished we wanted to carry on. And the DLC – we've launched two so far and there’s a third to come which take us to a new level in every way.” ..." - Randy Pitchford, Gearbox

Laut Randy Pitchford arbeitet man nun an dem Titel.  Zuvor hat man sich aber wohl verstärkt auf Borderlands und dessen DLCs konzentriert - der dritte ist in dieser Woche erschienen.

Allem Anschein nach klingt dies aber eher nicht so, als ob es Aliens: Colonial Marines noch dieses Jahr in die Läden schaffen könnte. Auf alle Fälle laufen die Entwicklungsarbeiten an Aliens: Colonial Marines nun wieder auf Hochtouren.
